“Theseus and the city of Athens”

A summer program inspired by Greek mythology

 

The first School of Culture is a weekly summer program, running from Monday to Friday, for children aged 5 – 8, at Hill Memorial School in Athens.
Greek mythology and culture is the starting point for a fun and creative exploration, utilizing music, history, arts and crafts. The program aims to familiarize children with Theseus, a protagonist of Greek Mythology, and his glorious city of Athens. The educational program is based on hands-on and experiential learning through art projects, board games, story telling, cooking lessons, gardening and yoga.

Themes

Under the shadow of Acropolis, children will have the opportunity to explore myths about king Theseus and his heroic achievements.

Weeks:

Every week has a different theme inspired by “Theseus and Athena”
  • week 1: June 25 – June 29 The Labyrinth
  • week 2: July 2 – July 6 Minotaur and the mythical creatures
  • week 3: July 9 – July 13 Black & white
The daily schedule runs from 9:00 to 16:30.
Cost is 185€/ week including educational projects and visits, lunch and a healthy snack.
